: Why did you become a children’s books author/illustrator? Where you interested in stories and pictures as a child, or was it your own child that needed stories, or is it a way to make the world a better place to live in?

AN: I am a visual artist with characteristics for fantasies of the children's universe. I became a writer because I like to tell narratives between text and image. It's natural. My creative thought seeks this fantastic, creative, poetic, sensitive universe of childhood.I just want people to recognize themselves as human beings. I do not have the power to make someone better. But art can transform.
IB: Do you write/illustrate also for adults?

AN: Yes, all my books are for adults who have childhood within them.
IB: Do you believe that children’s books should be read by grown-ups as well?

AN: Yes. All over the world there is the production of an unquestionable childhood literature. With magical stories and subjects that awaken the deepest questioning.
IB: Do you remember when and where your first text/illustration was published and how it felt?

AN: Happy and sad at the same time. Today I have a little more mature thinking about the profession. I'm still learning, but I respect that everything is part of the trajectory.
IB: Do you have a favorite among your books?

AN: The last books are the best. I believe in this because I try to grow every day as a professional. But better books belong to a choice of readers.
IB: What are you working on right now?

AN: In a new book for editing in Brazil. And I work continuously for the promotion of reading.
